India and Australia square off in the fifth game of the current ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday, October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. Australia chose to bat first after winning the toss. However, they were dismissed for only 199 runs by the Indian spinners, failing to put up a respectable score. Two Indians were spotted supporting Australia in ODI World Cup.
Cricket fans were stunned to see two Indian spectators wearing Australia jerseys throughout the game in an unexpected turn of events. As soon as the crowd had a glimpse of these two fans wearing the colours of the opposition side, it was startled and curious.
This was noticed by social media users, who then began to theorise as to why these fans were donning the Australian shirt. Some supporters claimed that they intended to purchase a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey but instead purchased an Australian jersey because both are yellow in colour.

Speaking of the first innings, the Australian batters only hit two sixes. They were also hit by Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc. Indicating that the Kangaroos were too slow throughout the innings. In the third over, Jasprit Bumrah dealt Australia their first loss. Later on, though, David Warner and Steve Smith helped to steady the ship.
However, just as it seemed like both hitters had found their rhythm. Kuldeep Yadav made the crucial breakthrough by dismissing David Warner for 41 runs. Then, by eliminating Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and Alex Carey, India’s great all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja destroyed Australia’s middle order.
The Australian lower order lingered around, though, raising the total to 199. They may need Mitchell Starc’s 28 runs from his effective performance to defend the low total. It will be interesting to see how the Indian batsmen do against Australia’s deadly bowling lineup.
All Indian fans have high expectations for The Men in Blue because they are the overwhelming favourites to win the competition. Given their batting order and bowling attack lineups, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to believe that India can win the game. The fact that India is hosting the entire competition will give the Rohit-led team an advantage.
