On Thursday, October 19, in the 2023 World Cup match against Bangladesh, Team India captain cricketer Virat Kohli struck a stunning six to record his 48th ODI century. In Pune, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, he helped Team India win by seven wickets. It also signalled the end of the match and continued India’s current World Cup winning streak.
Bangladesh had batted first earlier in the match and reached 256/8 in 50 overs. Once again, Rohit Sharma played with aggression and scored an amazing 48 runs. He laid a solid basis for his side of the chase. The flowing fifty-year-old Shubman Gill was a perfect foil for him.
After the two departed, Virat Kohli skillfully led the chase, and the team prevailed in 41.3 overs. In the end, KL Rahul was on the receiving end and discovered that India needed to win by 20 runs. Virat Kohli then took command of the attack and scored all of the runs to win his third World Cup with 100 runs or more. He reached the mark against Nasum Ahmed in the 42nd over, and he finished the match with a six.

At present, Virat is the greatest cricketer in the world.
He cannot be compared with any other player.
These are becoming more dangerous day by day.
His record in run chasing has no significance.

At the press conference held after the game, Virat Kohli stated that he felt fortunate to have had a few free hits earlier in his innings. With the four and six from the two deliveries, he got things going.
Kohli in reflection after earning the trophy said, “I’m sorry for stealing it (the player of the match award) from Jaddu, but I wanted to make a big contribution. I wanted to see it through this time and stay in until the very end because I’ve got a few fifties in World Cups and I haven’t really converted them.”
Speaking about the team environment was the previous captain of Team India. He remarked, “The changing room has a great atmosphere. Everyone can see that we enjoy one another’s company and that we have a great vibe. Guys need to be in the right frame of mind in the locker room to come out and play this way for the entire tournament. Together with Ash, the two of us since 2011, we want to enjoy our time together performing at home.”
