Cricketer Rohit Sharma ditches team bus for Range Rover

Prior to the Mumbai Indians’ next IPL 2024 matchup against the Rajasthan Royals, former captain Rohit Sharma created headlines. It is important to note that on Monday, April 1, the tournament’s fourteenth game will take place in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium between the five-time champions and RR.

Former captain Rohit Sharma attracted attention from the media when he was spotted boarding his personal Range Rover autobiography and driving to the stadium instead of the MI team bus as it headed to Wankhede.

Everyone’s attention was also drawn to the unique license plate on his private car. The number 264 on the license plate of his car represents the former captain’s highest ODI score, which he achieved in a match against Sri Lanka in 2014.

The Mumbai Indians, captained by Hardik Pandya, have not had a good IPL 2024 season. The five-time winners have faced the Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad in their two tournament games thus far, and they have lost both of them.

After two games, MI has nil points, placing them in 10th place in the IPL 2024 standings. However, given RR’s recent performance, a matchup with the Rajasthan Royals could prove to be extremely difficult for MI.

The Rajasthan Royals, under the leadership of Sanju Samson, have won both of their opening games. The first-time winners easily defeated the Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, and they hope to do the same to the Mumbai Indians.

But it won’t be easy to beat the five-time winners at Wankhede Stadium, and Sanju Samson’s team will need to be at the top of their game to win three games this season.

Recently, Before the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Wednesday, March 27, there was a funny moment. When Mumbai’s former captain Rohit Sharma handed SRH opener Mayank Agarwal a viral “flying kiss” during the teams’ practice, it created quite a stir.

The amusing gesture reminded people of an earlier incident involving Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler Harshit Rana, who gave Mayank Agarwal a similar send-off during Hyderabad’s opening encounter at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
