Due to exhaustion, aggressive England batter Danni Wyatt has chosen not to play in the next Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). Wyatt was selected as a gold pick by the Perth Scorchers Women earlier this month, and she was scheduled to play for the team. Sophie Devine, the captain of New Zealand, was kept at platinum. The third foreign player selected by the Scorchers was Amy Jones, who was nominated directly. But now they’ll need to find someone to take Wyatt’s place. After securing the 32-year-old’s services during the draught, head coach Becky Grundy was ecstatic and believed that her versatility as a bat would benefit the club. However, since Wyatt won’t be available, she will need to make new plans.

In the meantime, England leg spinner Sarah Glenn has joined Brisbane Heat to cover for all-arounder Amelia Kerr of New Zealand, who will miss the first several WBBL matches. Despite knowing well in advance that Kerr would be unavailable for the first three games, Brisbane signed her as their golden pick without hesitation.
Australian seamer Megan Schutt discussed the rise in women’s cricket contests in recent years. The 30-year-old disclosed that the players and coaches have discussed the significance of workload management.
Schutt told ESPNcricinfo, “To be honest, our timetable looks overwhelming on the whole. However, the best opportunity is probably to just have the option. Now that there are so many leagues, it’s absolutely fantastic if someone wants to play T20. It’s okay if they have the body and want to continue doing that. However, it’s undoubtedly intimidating, and we’ve talked to our coaches about how we plan to handle ourselves.”
For the unversed, English cricket player Danielle Nicole Wyatt represents England, Sussex, Southern Vipers, and Southern Brave. She bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off-break as an all-round player. On March 1, 2010, she played her first match for England in Mumbai against India.
