A cute couple was hilariously captured on camera on Thursday, December 28, during Day 3 of the ongoing Second Test between Australia and Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). As soon as the two appeared on the big screen, the Melbourne crowd erupted in shock.
In a video circulating on X, the old Twitter, a girl was seen cuddling with a boy who was putting his arms around her. They covered their faces in shame before the child got up from his spot and waved to the crowd.
Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith helped Australia to a 241-run lead in the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia at the MCG on Day 3. Marsh was four runs short of a century but still managed to score 96 runs from 130 deliveries, including 13 boundaries. Smith, on the other hand, made 50 of 76 deliveries. They combined to score 153 runs, which was enough to rescue the hosts from 16/4.
Boxing Day Test video goes viral:
Australia batted first and scored 318 runs in 96.5 overs, with Marnus Labuschagne topping the score. The right-handed batsman made 63 off 155 with five boundaries, scoring runs. Usman Khawaja, David Warne, and Mitchell Marsh all made contributions with numbers of 42, 38, and 41, respectively.
Hasan Ali, Mir Hamza, and Shaheen Afridi were all happy to take one wicket each, but Aamer Jamal was brilliant for Pakistan with the ball, claiming three. In response, Pakistan was bowled out for 264 in 73.5 overs.
The current Australia vs. Pakistan Test started late in the second session. The reason for this is that TV umpire Richard Illingworth became stuck in an elevator. This has to be stopped; it’s honestly one of the strangest things that has ever happened during a cricket match.
The on-field umpires stood in the middle and signalled to stop play. They couldn’t help but smile when they found out later that Illingworth was caught in the elevator due to his lack of preparation. When David Warner described this incident, he also smiled.
The current update:
On the second day of the second Test match between Australia and Pakistan in Melbourne, Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batter for Pakistan, was left disappointed after being controversially declared out. At Melbourne Cricket Stadium on Friday, during Pakistan’s 317-run chase, the incident occurred in the 61st over.
When Australia’s captain Pat Cummins bowled a short-pitched delivery that escaped Rizwan’s bat, Pakistan was cruising at 219/5 with only 98 runs needed to tie the series. Australia’s appeal for a potential caught behind was turned down by the on-field umpire, but Cummins chose to seek assistance from the third umpire.
