‘Bhai Ruturaj ko dikhao’- Sehwag remarks during CSK vs RCB

CSK vs RCB: The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season began in Chennai with a fantastic game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The attention moved to Ruturaj Gaikwad for the 17th edition. He replaced the great MS Dhoni, who had guided the team to five titles, as captain.

Fans were kept occupied by the on-field action, but Virender Sehwag’s clever comment stole the show off the field. Gaikwad, the new captain of CSK, was leading for the first time. Even still, it was difficult to ignore Dhoni’s presence on the field because he was actively setting the stage for CSK despite the shift in leadership.

The camera operators appeared to be focused on the former captain, recording Dhoni’s every move as he made the field placements. The always astute Sehwag was heard stating on television, “Bhai Ruturaj ka bhi chehra dikha do ek do baar vo bhi captain hai sirf Dhoni ka hi chehra dikha raha hai (Brother, Please show Rituraj’s face as well in camera, he is captain The cameraman is only showing Dhoni’s face.)”

Prior to the game, the hosts were able to limit RCB to a total of 173/6 thanks in large part to Mustafizur Rahman’s outstanding play with the ball. The spinner from Bangladesh took four wickets and was named Player of the Match. The seasoned Ravindra Jadeja led CSK’s chase with an undefeated score of 25. Together with him, big left-hander Shivam Dube contributed 34 runs without a loss to assist CSK to win the game.

Early in the innings, CSK’s mood was established by debutant Rachin Ravindra’s brilliant innings. The tournament’s first victory was achieved by the reigning champions, who will now play their next game at home on March 26 against Gujarat Titans.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is noteworthy for having played in 52 IPL games during his career, scoring 1797 runs at an average of 39.07. He has scored a career-high 101 runs in the Indian Premier League, amassing 14 half-centuries and smashing a century. The right-handed hitter has shown flashes of incredible prowess with the bat, so fans are excited to see how the young player leads one of the most successful teams in the tournament’s history.
