Famous cricketers nemesis: One of the most talked-about aspects of India’s convincing victory over Afghanistan in the 2023 World Cup match in Delhi was the friendship between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq. Given their history, many in the cricketing community anticipated a contentious confrontation between the two.
Kohli and Naveen sparred during the IPL 2023 match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Even after the game, there was another argument between the two sides, and teammates had to separate them before they could shake hands.

Harbhajan Singh allegedly slapped Sreesanth shortly after the 2008 IPL match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on the latter’s initiative. Despite the fact that the slap was not caught on video, images of Sreesanth sobbing went viral.
The two went on to play together and help India win the 2011 World Cup, so relations between them weren’t all bad. Both parties have spoken their opinions about the incident quite openly, apologised to one another, and have long since resolved their issues.
2. Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds:
During his playing career, Harbhajan Singh and the late Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds got into another argument. The Australian team filed an appeal alleging that Harbhajan used a racial slur towards Symonds during the heated exchange between the two cricketers during the Sydney Test of India’s 2007–2008 tour of Australia.
After several sessions, Harbhajan, who had been suspended for the first three games, was found not guilty of all charges. The two appeared to have severed all ties. Fortunately, that didn’t appear to be the case as they grew close off the pitch and joined forces to play for MI in the IPL.

Virat Kohli and Steve Smith, two of the best batters of the contemporary era, both put their hearts on the line when they play. Naturally, it resulted in quite a few on-field confrontations between them early in their careers.
The one dispute that jumped out, though, came during the 2017 Bengaluru Test between Australia and India. Smith was ruled to be LBW off the bowling of Umesh Yadav. But it appears that he motioned towards the changing room to inquire about whether he should request a review. The on-field umpire forbade Smith from accepting the review after Virat Kohli pointed out the gesture to him.

ODI World Cup 2023:
The 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, an ODI cricket competition held every four years between men’s national teams and hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), will take place in 2023. India is hosting the event, which got underway on October 5 and is slated to end on November 19, 2023. The 2019 edition was won by England, who defeated New Zealand in the final at Lord’s in London to become the reigning champions.
There are ten participating national teams. Everyone needed to qualify for the competition via the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The Netherlands and Sri Lanka secured the final two spots via the qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe during June and July 2023, with West Indies missing out on qualification for the first time in their history. India qualified as the tournament’s host. Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa qualified via the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
It is the first time that only India is hosting the men’s Cricket World Cup. The 1987, 1996, and 2011 editions were co-hosted by them and other countries. In ten cities across India, the competition is being held in ten different venues. While the final will be staged in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the first and second semi-finals will take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata, respectively.
