New Zealand Cricket Star Kane Williamson and His Partner Sarah Raheem Welcomes Third Child
Star batter of New Zealand Kane Williamson and his wife Sarah Raheem have welcomed their third child, a baby girl. The couple announced the birth on Instagram on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024.
Williamson shared a photo on Instagram with his wife and daughter, writing, “And then there were 3! Welcome to the world, beautiful girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead.”
The baby girl joins Williamson’s two other children, a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son. He recently took paternity leave to be present for the birth, missing New Zealand’s T20I series against Australia in February.

Despite missing the T20Is, Williamson enjoyed a successful Test series against South Africa prior to his leave. He played a key role in the Black Caps’ first-ever Test series win over the Proteas, scoring his 30th, 31st, and 32nd Test centuries. These centuries moved him to 11th on the all-time list, just one behind England’s Alastair Cook.
Williamson’s prolific Test career has already seen him surpass the previous New Zealand record of 17 centuries held by Martin Crowe. With 98 Tests already played, Williamson has the potential to double Crowe’s record before his career ends.
Kane Williamson missed the T20I series, but he will bat at number 3 in the upcoming Test series against Australia. He is in a different class altogether, a cut above the rest when it comes to Test cricket.
Having contributed to every home win for New Zealand in the last two years, scoring big runs consistently, he is again expected to perform well against Australia.
He is expected to return to action soon, joining the Gujarat Titans in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Williamson’s leadership experience will be valuable for the Titans, particularly for young captain Shubman Gill, following the departure of Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians.
