Since CM Punk has returned to WWE, he has become one of the biggest babyfaces of the company. “Cookie Master” is currently involved in a rivalry with Drew McIntyre on Monday Night Raw. During the recent WWE Draft 2024, Drew and Punk were drafted under the red brand. Last week on Raw, Punk called out The Scottish Warrior on live TV and asked him to face him like a man. However, Drew was not present in the building, so he did not appear in the ring. “The Best in the World” threatened his enemy with physical violence the next time they crossed paths.
Punk might make his return at SummerSlam
According to Dave Meltzer, CM Punk will be able to make his in-ring return "fairly soon":
"Punk's not that far from being back most likely. If he had his surgery at the end of January, you're looking at the end of July, August, maybe September. It's not that far away anymore.… pic.twitter.com/HdfUvGUGar

A recent report suggested that CM Punk may be close to making an in-ring return to the company. He had his surgery at the end of January 2024, so he should probably be in good shape to compete in the ring by July or August. There is also a possibility of Punk making his return at SummerSlam 2024 and facing Drew McIntyre for the Heavyweight championship. Just in case he could not make it to the premium event, WWE could schedule the same match for next month.

During the most recent episode of RAW, McIntyre walked out to respond to CM Punk. He insulted the 45-year-old for being a constant disappointment to the fans. He reprimanded the WWE fans for buying into Punk’s gimmicks every time, even after he always disappointed them. The Scottish Warrior even called those fans stupid who support CM Punk.
McIntyre is granted a title shot
During this segment, Drew was interrupted by Damian Priest, who is the current World Heavyweight Champion. He taunted McIntyre for not getting over his loss at WrestleMania XL, as his reign as a champion ended in just five minutes. The Judgement Day member even granted McIntyre a title shot in the future whenever he would get medically cleared to compete.
