Former UFC fighter Muhammad Mokaev got into a car crash in Dagestan on Thursday. According to several Russian news outlets, Mokaev was involved in an accident after his Mercedes-AMG A35 lost control and slid into a ditch. The accident was definitely serious, as seen in the photos shared by the 24-year-old on social media that show heavy damage to his vehicle. The MMA fighter narrowly escaped a serious injury. He updated his fans of his well-being on X shortly after the accident.

Mokaev wrote, “Alhamdulillah, I’m well, out from hospital. Thank you for the support. I have been tested on high level at this stage of my career and I will be back stronger InshaAllah!.” The statement has relieved his fans, who were worried about his condition after hearing about the accident. The exact cause of the crash is still unclear, but the pictures posted by the Dagestani fighter show the severity of the accident. His car can be seen badly damaged and it looks like several vehicles were involved. One photo shows that the hood of one car was totally ripped off, which indicates that it was hit by a great force. Despite the heavy damage, Mokaev luckily escaped without any major injuries.
Mokaev is a free agent for now
The incident comes just weeks after Muhammad Mokaev’s last match in the UFC octagon, where he secured a unanimous decision over Manel Kape at UFC 304. Despite the victory, the promotion decided not to renew his contract, which makes him a free agent now. After the release, the 24-year-old flyweight fighter stated that he may continue his fighting career outside the UFC, although he has yet to make any announcements regarding his next professional move.
