John Wright is highly accredited with the shining phase of Indian cricket in the early 2000s. John Wright maintained a perfect balance in the national team and assisted skipper Sourav Ganguly with forming a sustainable team with emerging players like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan. Under Wright’s assistance, India defeated England in a bilateral ODI series on their home soil and lifted the 2002 Champions Trophy.
