Ravi Shastri emerged as one of the most popular coaches in the history of Indian cricket. Whenever the Indian team faced a crisis, Shastri came to the rescue and guided the emerging team. Under Shastri’s guidance, India defeated Australia in their backyard by conquering the fortress of Gabba. Furthermore, India also reached the finals of the ICC World Test Championship Final 2021 but lost to the Black Caps. Shastri is known for nurturing budding talent including Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer.
