#1. John Buchanan, Australia (1999-2007)
John Buchanan is known as the greatest and most successful coach in the history of cricket. Buchanan was Australia’s Head Coach from 1999 to 2007. John closely worked with legendary cricketer Ricky Ponting and assisted the Aussies to clinch the 2003 and 2007 World Cup along with the 2006 Champions Trophy. Interestingly, Buchanan has mentored the finest batch of veteran cricketers including Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds. He was then appointed as the Head Coach of Kolkata Knight Riders franchise at the inaugural edition of the IPL, Consultant of England Cricket in 2011 and Director of New Zealand Cricket in 2013.
