Bob Sapp has been a part of many bizarre bouts and controversial situations several times during his career. His fight with Kunkli Tivadar is one of them. This fight took place During the late stages of his career. Bob Sapp had a kickboxing fight against Tivadar at “Fight Code: Dragons Rounds 3 in 2011 on May 1. The Hungarian Muay Thai fighter Kunkli was 48 years old at that time, and the difference between their weights was 225 pounds. The fight had many Bizarre moments in it, like when Sapp pushed Tivadar out of the ring and then hit the referee, the crowd rioted and threw bottles and cans into the ring, and the 185-pound fighter knocked down a 330-pound monster.
Spiderman vs. Batman and Robin
One of the weirdest fights in MMA was when Spiderman wanted to test himself against the fearsome rivals of the brothers Batman and Robin. Spider-Man looked in great shape, and he immediately stacked Robin, landing some good shots on Batman. The funniest thing to see in this match was watching Spider-Man throw a Superman punch. After Batman was edged out, the weirdness got worse. The Riddler sitting aside was not satisfied with the result, so he decided to take on Spiderman, and the final fight scene features the Riddler giving a double leg and slamming the swaggering Spiderman.
Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki
The strange fight between Muhammad Ali and Antonio Inoki took place in Tokyo, Japan, on June 26, 1976. This event was promoted as a classic bout between a boxer and a wrestler, but several rule changes made this fight a Bizarre contest. The rules were such that Antonio Inoki was not allowed to score any takedowns or grappling exchanges of any kind. Also, he could only execute a leg kick when one of his knees was on the ground. It was clear that these rules were in favour of Muhammad Ali. While Ali could throw punches, Inoki only had one option. As a result, the fight turned out to be boring and not entertaining at all. The crowd threw various objects into the ring. Ali was only able to land a few punches during the fight, and Inoki landed many kicks, which resulted in blood clots. Immediately after the fight, his leg was almost cut off, and at the end, the fight was declared a draw.
Gabi Garcia vs. Yumiko Hotta at the Rizin 4 Grand Prix Tournament
The undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter Gabi Garcia is considered one of the scariest women in the world. During her career, she won four ADCC gold medals, nine World Jiu-Jitsu Championships, and 11 Pan American Championships. Gabi always had a problem finding a suitable opponent to match her size, as she was 6’2″ and weighed 205 pounds. The Japanese Rizin promotion had the strange idea of putting Garcia against former Japanese wrestling star Yumiko Hotta, who was 50 years old at the time. Garcia and Hotta faced each other in Saitama on December 31, 2016, and as the idea already looked dangerous, the fight turned out to be a disaster. After running the ropes for a While, Garcia would easily catch Hotta, and after a few moments, it was totally in disarray.
Emmanuel Yarbrough vs. Daiju Takase at Pride 3
The fight between the heaviest athlete according to the Guiness Book of World Records, Emanuel Yarbrough, and Daiju Takase is the strangest and most epic fight in the history of MMA. The fight between the two took place in Tokyo on June 24, 1998, at the Pride 3 event. During the fight, Takase was implementing a solid game plan and was circling around while kicking his opponent. On the other hand, the 600-pound former sumo professional was waiting for an opportunity to step forward on the mat. Takase took a risk by diving for one leg and ended up with a 600-pound weight on his back. Takase was able to squeeze out from there and finish off with ground and pound. Defeating the heaviest wrestler was definitely an incredible achievement for Takase.
