Boxing legend Mike Tyson has issued a strong warning to YouTube sensation Jake Paul as he made his first public appearance since his recent health crisis. The highly anticipated fight between Paul and Tyson has been rescheduled and is now set to take place on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The event’s undercard features women’s light-welterweight world champion Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano. The event was originally scheduled for July 20 but was postponed after the 57-year-old withdrew on medical advice after an ulcer flared up.
Tyson’s warning to the 27-year-old
“The Problem Child” reiterated the sentiment on social media, writing, “New date, same place, same fate.” Similarly, Tyson posted a video promoting the clash, saying, “Different date… Same fate… I am going to knock out Jake Paul.”
“Iron Mike” made the same promise regarding the outcome of the rescheduled bout. Tyson also revealed that, although the fight was postponed, he will resume training soon. He thanked the medical staff who treated them.
This will be Tyson’s first professional fight since 2005
Tyson officially retired from professional boxing in 2005 but returned in 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. He is considered one of the greatest boxers in history and was the first heavyweight to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles. His reign as a unified champion ended unexpectedly after he lost to Buster Douglas in 1990.

On the other hand, Jake Paul has scored nine wins in his 10 professional boxing fights, mainly against former UFC fighters. The only defeat he suffered came at the hands of Tommy Fury in February last year. After suffering a loss to Fury, Jake went on to take UFC star Nate Diaz and then professional boxers like Andre August and Ryan Borland. For now, boxing fans have to wait till November to see the clash between Tyson and Paul.
