Maccabi Haifa form analysis
The Greens were in no way convincing in their Europa League campaign. However,they did just about enough to secure a spot in the Conference League playoffs. They started off the campaign with a trip to France and ended up with a 3-0 defeat against Rennes. They were only able to hold Panathinaikos to a goalless draw at home in their second match. Despite opening the scoring through Seck early in the game at home against Villarreal, they lost 01-2. Thanks to a couple of late goals from their opponents.

The Israeli club faced Gent in the Round of 32. Maccabi Haifa secured a crucial one goal lead in the home leg. They then held Gent to a 1-1 draw in the second leg to progress.
Fiorentina form analysis
Fiorentina secured the top position in the group stages despite not being at their best. They started the competition with a 2-2 draw thanks to a brace from Ranieri. In their home fixture against Ferencváros they rescued a point after being two goals down at the hour mark. Barák and Ikoné were the heroes of the day. Their most dominant performance came at home against Cukaricki. The side registered a 6-0 scoreline win against a side reduced to just 10 men.
It was a much quieter game in the reverse match as M’Bala Nzola’s penalty proved to be the only goal. Genk were handed a defeat on their trip to Florence as Martínez Quarta and González contributed to the 2-1 win. Their final fixture ended in a draw against Ferencváros. Ranieri had to rescue the point through a late equalizer.
