ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Haim on Prime Video will now feature two more incredible fighters as John Lineker and Stephen Loman agreed to square off inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium. There will be a big clash between the two on September 29th. The bantamweights will fight in a three-round battle that will likely determine the true challenger to division kingpin Fabricio Andrade.
Lineker is still a fearsome fighter
In an effort to reclaim his lost throne, the former bantamweight champion accepted a quick turnaround after his spectacular knockout over Kim Jae Woong at ONE FIGHT NIGHT 13 earlier this month. Lineker is still one of the most dangerous 145-pound fighters in the world, as he holds the ultimate equalizer in those fearsome fists. The “Hands of Stone” proved that he is a threat when he finished Kim Jae Woong with four seconds remaining in their match-up.
The Sniper dominated his opponent in the last fight
Linker will be looking to erase the bitter taste of his defeat by Champion Andrade after being outplayed in both of their bouts. Stephen Loman, on the other hand, is on his own quest to challenge the ONE Bantamweight Champion. “The Sniper” knows that the road will sooner or later lead to a confrontation with Lineker, and he has taken up this big challenge.
Eventually, Loman was considered Andrade’s next challenger. He is currently riding an 11-fight overall winning streak and is no stranger to defeating former champions. Loman dominated the iconic Bibiano Fernandez for 15 minutes in his most recent appearance last year. These two ruthless fighters will take on each other in the division. While Andrade turns to kickboxing to seek supremacy in two sports.
Wonder Boy will battle Haggerty
Stephen Thompson, on the other hand, will fight against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 15 on October 6 for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing throne.
