The former chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon, announced his retirement from the wrestling scene in 2022 after he was accused of harassment and settled the case by paying money. Vince McMahon had the majority of WWE brand shares, but the same year he sold the WWE company to Endeavor Groups, the company that owns UFC as well. Endeavor Groups later merged UFC and WWE to market under a single umbrella and named it TKO Group Holdings.
McMahon’s health is declining
After the merger, Vince returned to business and was given the position of Executive Chairman of TKO. But this year, his troubles were doubled when the former WWE employee Janel Grant sued him. This led to Vince McMahon’s public speaker announcing that he is stepping down from the position of Executive Chairman. Now McMahon has no ties with the company.
Recently, Lee Cole stated that Vince McMahon’s wife Linda McMahon has revealed that his health is continuously declining. Lee Cole posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he stated that Linda has told people close to her that Vince’s health is not good.
Lee wrote in the description of the video that Linda McMahon is telling those close to her that her husband Vince McMahon’s health is deteriorating. McMahon was forced to step down six months ago after Janel Grant came forward and revealed that she was sexually abused by him.
The former chairman didn’t treat his employees well
McMahon will be turning 79 the coming August 24. He was instrumental in turning the professional wrestling business into a big industry. He had his own rules for running the business and some of them had hidden meanings, as people working under him were bound to follow his rules.
A few days ago, former WWE superstar Jonathan Coachman revealed in an interview that Vince McMahon once made him work on Christmas Eve while he himself was spending time with his family. Coachman claimed that Vince never cared about his employees. “In my first 10-year, I only missed one Monday night. I have a lot of regrets as far as things I missed because we couldn’t stand up for ourselves,” said Coachman.
He further added that when he was on Christmas Eve back home in Kansas, Coachman got a call to come back and shoot something in Connecticut. The former WWE superstar stated that Vince wanted to go to Florida to be with his family and didn’t care about Coachman’s family. “I only told him no once, and I got beat up for that. So, it is what it is,” Coachman concluded.
