Lower down the order, there were contributions from Perera (38), Shadab Khan (20), and Karunaratne (25). In the bowling front, Dunith Wellalage starred with the ball, claiming four for 20 in 3.4 overs. Shadab Khan was also sensational with his figures of 4 for 22 in four overs.
It was an all-round performance from Colombo in the last game and one can expect a similar show in their next game as well.
Galle Marvels Review
With the ball, the likes of Pretorius (2) and Zahoor Khan (3) combined to pick five wickets with the ball. Theekshana gave away six an over but didn’t give any wickets. Udana had a bad evening as he conceded 60 runs in four overs. But, all in all, it was a pretty good performance from the unit.
Both the openers proved their worth in the first game. Niroshan Dickwella powered his way to 47 off just 72 deliveries. His partner, Alex Hales made 65 off 47, striking at close to 140.
The duo should take a lot of confidence from their knocks. The middle-order, however, failed to fire, which could be a cause of concern.
