Now that Kurt Angle has become a heel, he is being compared to his former self, who was an Olympic icon and started his WWE career as the bad guy. This is not the first time WWE fans have made the comparison, but with Gable leading his Alpha Academy as a trainer rather than a dictator, new comparisons to the old Team Angle group are being made, with the “Wrestling Machine” commenting about his potential involvement.
Kurt about Gable’s Heel work

Kurt recently talked about the work Gable is doing in WWE on The Kurt Angle Show and said that the heel formula works well today as well as it did when Angle was the bad guy.
“I’ve been watching Chad, and he’s doing a lot of things Kurt Angle used to do, different features, different facial expressions. Taking off his singlet before he can finish the job, he hits the angle slam and ankle lock. So I feel like this is the reincarnation of Kurt Angle, but I’ll tell you this, he’s doing a pretty good job at it too. He really stepped up and I don’t know if I could have done it better than him. He’s doing really well right now.”
Kurt once spoke about the idea of teaming up with Gable when he was last in WWE and revealed they considered forming another team with Chad, Angle, or the Alpha Academy. He wondered if WWE was afraid he would overpower the group. When Angle was asked if he would consider coming out today to join Gable and the Alpha Academy, he said, “It would be a good idea, but he was going to do it, it has to be worth it for him.

Gable is doing amazing work as a heel

“Shorty G” has quickly become one of the most interesting heels in the company. Since the past year, he has been surprising fans with his amazing work in the ring and his heel turn has also been brewing for quite some time. There are rumors that the Creed Brothers could join Gable, eventually replacing Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxin Dupri. So far, WWE has inclined in that direction. If they ever do, Kurt will be considered and the company doesn’t need Angle as a heel manager to run the business.
