Virat & Anushka welcomed their second bundle of joy. After much speculation about Virat Kohli’s absence in the ongoing Test series, Kohli finally unveiled the reason for his absence. On 20th february Virat took to Instagram to reveal that his wife Anushka Sharma has given birth to their second child. The couple has welcomed their baby boy into this world. Kohli mentioned in his Instagram post that they have named their son Akaay & he was born on 15th February.
Virat Kohli who was in Hyderabad ahead of the first Test against England abruptly left the Test contingent to be with his family. Initially, Virat made himself unavailable only for two matches but later he expressed his unavailability for the entire series. India who is leading the five-match Test series by 2-1 announced their squad for the final three Tests just over a week ago.

Back in 2020 when Virat & Anushka were expecting their first child he pulled out of the last three Tests of the Australia tour 2020-2021. It was Kohli who was the captain of India’s team but in his absence, Rahane stood in as captain for the remaining three Tests & helped India to win a historic win in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Virat Kohli has featured in India’s T20I series against Afghanistan where he displayed prolific performances. His inclusion in the Afghanistan T20Is proved that he will be in contention for the T20 World Cup 2024 beginning on June 1.
India won the third Test even in Kohli’s absence
Coming to the ongoing India vs England Test series, India has won the third Test with the highest margin outclassing England in all departments of the game. After their standout performance, India rested their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah for the fourth Test against England. The management thinks that they need to manage his workload looking at his busy schedule & prone to injury. The team management has also announced that they have rested KL Rahul who stepped in to bat at No 4 as he is yet to gain full fitness.
The India vs England fourth Test will begin on 23rd February 2023 on the grounds of Ranchi. In the absence of Bumrah Mohammed Siraj will lead the pace attack. He will get valuable assistance from Kuldeep Yadav, & off-spinner R Ashwin & Ravindra Jadeja.
