TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace recently made history by competing for the WWE NXT Women’s title at Battleground. Although she was unsuccessful in winning the title from Roxanne Perez due to distractions from Tatum Paxley and Dana Brooke, the TNA x WWE crossover did entertain the wrestling fans. Interestingly, Jordynne’s work with WWE is not over yet. In an interview after the Battleground match, Grace revealed that she is doing motion capture work for WWE 2K25.
Grace did the mopwork for WWE last year as well
During an interview with Fightful, Grace said that she has been doing mocap work, possibly for WWE’s next game. It is unclear if the next WWE game will bring some sort of TNA crossover title. Grace revealed that the mopwork she did was for Chelsea Green and Jacy Jayne in MyRise, the recurring 2K mode in which players can create a wrestler and play through unique branching WWE storylines.
This is not the first time Jordynne Grace has done mocap work for a WWE 2K game. She did it for Ivy Nile in WWE 2K23, a match-up that makes a lot of sense since the two have similar body types. 2K often approaches wrestlers from different promotions for mocap work, especially when the WWE Superstars they need are busy on the road and just can’t come in whenever they need them. AEW star Colt Cabana has also worked with the studio before.
The next WWE game might have wrestlers from rival promotion
Since Grace was at the studio and it seems she’ll be at the center of the ongoing WWE x TNA crossover, it would be foolish for 2K not to scan her in while she was there. That way, if there’s going to be a TNA star in the next WWE game, 2K already has Grace’s design. They can potentially match her entrance and move set with the mocap work.

2K’s parent company Take-Two has already confirmed that work has begun on WWE 2K25 and that it will be released at the same time as usual, right before next WrestleMania. That means there are only a few months left before WWE 2K24 gets released. A way to make it different from other WWE games would be to include wrestlers from rival promotions like AEW and TNA.
