Mitchell Johnson will commentate in Australia vs Pakistan test match after fued with David Warner
Johnson-Warner fued has taken a new turn as the Aussie pacer is set to join the commentary team for the opening Test between Australia and Pakistan in Perth. Earlier, it was speculated that he had been axed for criticizing opener David Warner for his past deeds.
Johnson’s name was absent from the initial list of commentators list sent out by Triple M. It sparked rumors that his scathing column targeting Warner had resulted in his removal.
However, confirmation from his management has now confirmed his participation in the broadcast. This sets the stage for a potentially tense encounter between Johnson and Warner, whose public feud has dominated Australian cricket headlines and drawn widespread attention.
Johnson’s Criticism of David Warner

In a fiery column for a Western Australia newspaper, Johnson slammed Warner’s decision to pre-announce his Test retirement, calling it “arrogant” and disrespectful to the Australian cricket tradition.
He argued that the announcement, made six months prior to his intended departure, served as a means to pressure selectors into retaining him for a farewell tour despite his declining form.

“Does this really warrant a swansong, a last hurrah against Pakistan that was forecast a year in advance as if he was bigger than the game and the Australian cricket team?” Johnson wrote.
He further criticized Warner’s lack of remorse for the infamous 2018 sandpaper scandal, stating:
“It’s been five years and Warner has still never really owned the ball-tampering scandal. Now the way he is going out is underpinned by more of the same arrogance and disrespect to our country.”

With Johnson now confirmed to be on the commentary team, the possibility of a face-to-face confrontation with Warner looms large.
There is already tense atmosphere surrounding their public dispute. Warner hasn’t responded with anything but CA chief selector George Bailey took an unkindly dig at Jonshon, asking, ”Is he okay?”
It remains to be seen whether the situation will escalate further or if the two will choose to avoid any interaction. Regardless, this latest development promises to keep the cricketing world buzzing with anticipation and speculation.
