WWE veterans John Cena and Brock Lesnar are two of the most popular superstars in the wrestling world. They have been in the industry for a long time and have had a big rivalry between them. Recently, wrestler turned actor Cena appeared on the Shay Shay podcast. During the interview, the 16-time champion spoke about Brock Lesnar and praised him even though he is on a long hiatus from WWE due to his alleged involvement in the Vince McMahon and Janelle Grant lawsuit.
Cena about his former rival
Cena praised the Beast’s athletic abilities and in-ring skills and said, “Brock is one of the most gifted, hardest-working, determined, stubborn son of b****es I have ever met. But I honestly think, physically, he can do anything he sets his mind to. It’s also because he is 6-4, 300+. So it was a natural transition.”
Cena further said that he is glad Brock Lesnar was chosen as a professional wrestler and came to WWE because he is amazingly talented and athletic. The Cenation leader also said that Lesnar can really do anything he wants to do, as he is extraordinarily talented.
Lesnar was set to return at Royal Rumble
Although Brock Lesnar is currently away from WWE, “The Beast Incarnate” was recently spotted clicking pictures with fans. Lesnar’s last WWE appearance was at SummerSlam 2023 last year. “The Conqueror” and Cody Rhodes began their feud after WrestleMania 39, when Lesnar surprisingly attacked “The American Nightmare” before his tag team match against Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns.
Lesnar and Cody Rhodes have faced off three times and the match of their trilogy took place at SummerSlam 2023. Both fighters delivered a thrilling fight and the WWE audience saw dominating Rhodes the entire fight and made him taste the suplex city. In the last moments of the match, Cody Rhodes mustered all his strength, hit the Beast with a Triple Cross Rhodes and pinned Lesnar to get a comeback victory. After the match, WWE Universe got to see a rare moment as Brock Lesnar broke his character to acknowledge Cody Rhodes by raising his hand in front of the crowd.

According to previous reports, Lesnar was all set to return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2024 earlier this year. The company planned that Lesnar would get eliminated by Dominik Mysterio in a shocking moment and later, “Dirty Dom” was set to clash with “The Beast” at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024. But all those plans were eventually scrapped.
