Former WWE employee Janel Grant, who has filed a sexual assault lawsuit against the former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, is trying every possible way to bring the man to justice. On September 25, a Netflix docuseries based on the life of Vince McMahon is going to be released, which is said to reveal many unknown stories about him. Ahead of the release of this docuseries, Grant has hired a renowned PR firm, SKDC, to fight false stories about her following the release.
Grant’s lawyer claims they have received a huge number of calls
Grant’s legal team has now answered whether other victims from WWE have spoken to them or will come forward to testify against Vince McMahon. During the press conference, Gran’t lawyer Ann Callis was accompanied by Kendra Barkoff of SKDK and was asked if they had spoken to any other victims of sexual abuse by Vince. Janel Grant’s lawyer said that he has seen a large number of calls from different women but hasn’t reached out to those people yet.
“At the time, we did anticipate other victims coming forward. Of course, we were receiving an influx of calls. Right now, with the status of the non-public and criminal investigation, we have not spoken to any current victims of sexual abuse by Vince McMahon in WWE,” said Ann Callis.
Grant filed the lawsuit this year
Janel Grant filed the lawsuit in January 2024, accusing him of sexually abusing her while she was working in WWE from 2019-2022. Grant claimed that McMahon not only raped her but also sold her to other men in WWE, including John Laurinaitis, to get his business deals done. She also brought up the name of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, who she mentioned in her lawsuit. Since then, Lesnar has not shown up in WWE shows and his last appearance was at SummerSlam 2023.

In the case of Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, both of these men had to resign from their positions and disappear from public view. Vince McMahon has particularly distanced himself from WWE and a report suggested that he is not even allowed to enter the company’s headquarters, as the company would be in wrath of lawsuits if he kept himself associated with it. For now, the wrestling community and fans are waiting for the upcoming Netflix series “Mr. McMahon” to see how the series will portray him.
