Jake Paul’s highly-anticipated boxing clash with Mike Tyson was postponed and is now set to be held in November. However, we could see Paul back in the boxing ring in July. “The Problem Child” is scheduled to take on Tyson later but it seems Jake wants to stay active.
Paul set to face former UFC star in July
Paul is scheduled to face Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star and former UFC fighter Mike Perry on July 20, 2024. The location and type of the contest have not yet been announced. The date of July 20 was initially reserved for Paul’s professional boxing match against Mike Tyson at At&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. However, the fight has been postponed to November 15, 2024, due to Tyson’s ulcer aggravation.
If Perry is indeed Paul’s next opponent, it would mark his return to gloved combat for the first time since leaving the UFC in April 2021 and it will also be his first boxing match since 2015. “Platinum” has been undefeated in bare-knuckle boxing, winning five straight matches in the BKFC. His most recent win came on April 27 against Thiago Alves at BKFC: Knucklemania IV.
In boxing, Jake Paul has wins over UFC Stars like Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz. The upcoming fight will make a return to Paul’s old strategy of fighting MMA stars. Perry’s sole boxing fight was held in 2015, when he suffered a knockout loss. He will be undersized to fight Paul, who is a natural cruiserweight.
