Former Indian left arm pacer Irfan Pathan who is now fulfilling commentry duties for Star Sports has landed himself in trouble once again. Cricket is a gentleman’s game which is plays with respect and grace between two teams and it is expected from ex cricketers and pundits alike to maintain a standard of their opinion to a respectful level.
However, Irfan Pathan has a habit of losing his tongue and in urge to pick attention on social media, has often used mockery. On Monday night, India defeated Pakistan in by 228 runs in an almost one sided encounter. Such a magnitude of this match that myriad of reactions come from all sides to have their say about the match.
Definitely, Pakistan played average cricket and they had to go through harsh scrutiny of their fans and critics alike. As soon as match finished, Irfan Pathan took on X and shared:
There is a lot of silence It seems that the neighbors have broken the mobile phone along with the TV.
On September 4, after India vs Pakistan group match ended without a result. Pathan shared a similar kind of tweet which only creates more distance between two nations. It is not known yet if he does this sham acts to impress his fans or to prove his loyalty to the nation.

However, Pathan is good at changing his expression. For example, when he was with Wasim Akram during the pre-match talk show, we didn’t see him trying to thrash Pakistan verbally in front of one of greatest bowler from Pakistan. That means, he is only using social media for such purposes.
It must be shameful anyway, when players of both teams are being generous towards each other, showing respect and sharing gratitude, then an ex player continues to create controversy for comments and followers. It’s not helping the game but only creating animosity between two sides’ fan following.
This has been going on for a while. The political mindset has taken over the enjoyable atmosphere of cricket. A few days back, Gautam Gambhir was involved in a similar controversy when he showed middle finger to some fans who chanting Virat Kohli’s name when he passed by.
Gambhir later said that these were a group of Pakistani fans passing comments on Kashmir but actually the video suggested otherwise. For now, it doesn’t look like it’s going good for any of these teams.
Pakistan’s side is not all clear either. Often their ex-cricketers and cricket board members have passed irrelevant comments. There is an aggresive attitude between both teams in reality, however, they continue to pretend to be frei
