The Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season is quickly approaching and is expected to be exciting on and off the field. Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, made a lighthearted jab at Yashasvi Jaiswal, his attacking teammate.
Because of the young batting sensation’s restless batting sessions in the net, Sanju claimed that the team’s support staff was sent to the hospital with dislocated shoulders.
Jaiswal scored over 600 runs in RR’s incredible IPL 2023 campaign. His exploits won him a call-up to the Indian team, where he carried on his winning streak in Test matches. The left-hander won Player of the Series in the recently finished Test series and is playing brilliantly right now.
Samson cheekily disclosed to Star Sports how Jaiswal has been torturing the team’s throwdown specialists during practice.
Samson ahead of IPL 2024:

Samson remarked, “Four Sardar jis are present at our training camp. Cut, Pull, Flick, and Drive is the name of one. The man who went by the name ‘Cut’ only practised cutting balls, and the man who went by the name ‘Pull’ practised pulling bowls only. The same goes for the other men. Jaiswal from the previous season caused them to dislocate their shoulders. They returned while they were in the hospital. I believe that Jaiswal’s actions cause injuries to staff members rather than players.”
Captain Samson praised the batter’s extraordinary work ethic but also discussed how he is growing as a power hitter and how he hopes to play a role in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup preparations.
The RR skipper said, “I always wanted to establish my own style and make a statement with the way I batted. I wanted to go out there and hit a six, no matter if it was the first ball. That was the mental adjustment. I desired to take a different approach. Why must ten balls pass before a six is hit? That was the driving force behind my power-hitting development.”
With the Rajasthan Royals set to begin their IPL 2024 campaign on March 24 in Jaipur against the Lucknow Super Giants, all eyes will be on Jaiswal to build on his breakout season. The team from Rajasthan made it to the 2022 championship game, but they haven’t won the trophy since the team’s founding season in 2008. The team’s goal for this season is to turn around its current situation.
