IPL 2024: The prominent Indian cricket player Virat Kohli has defined what it means to be loyal to the sport by spending 16 years supporting the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Kohli’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, starting from his early days as a gifted cricket player who guided India’s Under-19 team to World Cup glory in 2008, and continuing through his illustrious career and becoming a mainstay of the Indian cricket team.
The 19-year-old prodigy’s connection to RCB started in 2008 when he was selected in the first-ever IPL auction. He has been a vital member of the RCB family ever since, proudly donning their recognizable red and black jersey. With a staggering 7,263 runs scored in 237 games, Kohli holds the record for being the tournament’s highest run scorer. Additionally, he has the most IPL centuries (7) of any Indian batter.
