“India, we want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards. It’s coming home,” Rohit posted on X.
The victorious squad had left Barbados, not just with the trophy, but with a newfound sense of accomplishment and national pride. BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla confirmed the flight arrangements, ensuring that all stakeholders, including journalists and officials, were part of the historic homecoming.
The team’s itinerary included a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence at 11 am, followed by a celebratory ceremony in Mumbai. This orchestrated homecoming was a testament to the team’s hard work and the nation’s unwavering support.
