India vs Sri Lanka Prediction, third T20I- Match
India vs Sri Lanka Prediction: Suryakumar Yadav-led India sealed the series 2-0 against Sri Lanka after registering a 7-wicket win in the second match on Sunday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. India has shown what their approach will be as far as the T20 cricket is concerned.
They have played some fearless brand of cricket and is likely to continue the same. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, fought hard but batting collapses in the middle stage of the innings hurt their chances. Nevertheless, they would look to make amends and, hopefully, pick up a win to end the series.
India Review:
India’s vice-captain, Shubman Gill didn’t play the last game due to neck spasms. Sanju Samson replaced him but got out on the very first ball. Gill is likely to come back in the next game.
His partner, Jaiswal played a stunning knock in the last match and will be a player to watch out for. Suryakumar Yadav continued his brilliant form with impactful knocks. He could be a potential captain or vice-captain pick.
Hardik Pandya could be a good choice too. He batted up the order in the last game and scored sumptuous shots, leaving the fans in awe. He looked in supreme touch and fans would want to watch for more of him as far as batting is concerned.
With the ball, the team might look at Khaleel Ahmed in the pace of either Arshdeep or Siraj as they have already won the series. Washington Sundar could also come in at the expense of Axar Patel.
Ravi Bishnoi is currently the highest wicket-taker for India in the series with four wickets under his name in two matches.
Sri Lanka Review:
Once again, Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana would be their biggest bets with the ball. The former is the highest wicket-taker in the series with five wickets under his name.
Hasaranga’s poor form has pushed them on the back foot. It will be interesting to see if he could bring his A game in the final match. Shanaka too hasn’t arrived in the series yet. He got out run-out in the first game and was out on the first ball in the second T20I.
However, the top order has been among the runs. The likes of Nissanka, Kusal Perera, and Kusal Perera have shown their mettle and this has been their biggest positive. The middle-order, however, needs to step up if they are to beat a strong Indian team in the final game.
India vs Sri Lanka Today Match Prediction
India has checked all their boxes so far. Runs are coming from the top order, while the middle-order batters are making sure they capitalize on those starts. There aren’t any big worries as far the bowling is concerned. India should go into the contest as favourites to win the clash.
Winning Chances of Today Match for Both Teams
India has a 70 per cent chance of winning the match
Sri Lanka has a 30 per cent chance of winning the match
Pitch Report and Conditions for Today’s Match
The third match is also scheduled to be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The pitch has been flat with a little assistance for the fast bowlers. They need to come up with variations to pick wickets.
Batters should continue to love batting here. There should some assistance for spinners but not too much. Anything below 170 should be chasable.
