The first of the two Tests is scheduled to take place from September 19th to 23rd, 2024, at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Rohit Sharma will continue to lead a side that has been nothing short of sensational in red-ball cricket.
On the other hand, Bangladesh are coming off a historic 2-0 win over Pakistan. Looking at their current team and the conditions on offer, Bangladesh could pose a great threat to this strong Indian team. With the ball, Jasprit Bumrah has been added to the squad. He should lead the pace attack along with Siraj. However, the focus will be on three spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Bangladesh Team Review
Bangladesh would be riding high on confidence after having registered a 2-0 win over Pakistan. M Rahim led the way with the bat in the series, notching 216 runs in 2 Tests, including a century.
Litton Das also made significant contributions, ending with 194 runs. Besides, the onus will be on Shakib and Shanto to score big runs in the series. The player to watch out for will be Mehidy Hasaran Mirzan. Needless to say, he has become one of the most important players in the team.
His utility with both bat and ball makes him a bright choice in your fantasy team. Taskin Ahmed will lead the pace attack but it is the spin trio of Shakib, Mehidy and Taijul Islam that India would be wary of.
