IND vs AUS 2nd T20I: TEAMS PREVIEW
India Preview
With many of their regular players missing from the clan, it will be difficult for Suryakumar led Indian team to win the fixture against much more competent Australian team. In the first t20I, they were under pressure as Aussies posted 208-3 runs total on board. But it was Suryakumar’s 42 ball 80 runs that helped India to win the fixture. The other player who delivered with the willow was Ishan Kishan who scored 58 runs off 39 balls. The wicket-keeper batter looked rusty at the start but finally got his momentum going. He will definitely be one of the players to watch out for.
Rinku Singh lived up to the expectation of team being a proficient finisher as he calmly led his team to victory with an unbeaten cameo of 22 runs off 14 balls. Opener Jaiswal missed an impactful knock but he will look ahead to compensate in this fixture. India’s bowling attack missed an impactful knock. However, we can’t underestimate his caliber & we are hoping to see attractive contributions in the coming games.
In the bowling order, except for Mukesh Kumar, who gave away just 29 runs from his 4 overs. Leg-Spinner Ravi Bishnoi was taken apart we are still backing him to deliver in this game. He is a genuine wicket-taker & can turn the game in the middle overs.
India Predicted Playing XI:
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Prasidh Krishna/ Avesh Khan
Australia Preview
Australia’s batting order was impressive in the first T20I. While Josh Inglis smashed his way to a 47 ball 100 runs. Smith steadied the innings with a classy 53 off 41 balls. Stoinis couldn’t do much in the last match but this is a format he thrives in. In the last 10 matches the all-rounder scored 206 runs at an average of 41.2 & strike rate of 157.25.
Tim David has been the most striking in all T20Is as in 163 T20Is he has maintained a high strike rate & is regarded as one of the best finishers in the World. He will pose a significant threat to India’s experienced bowling attack on these pitches. Barring Jason Behrendorff their attack seems little weak. There are chances that Aussies will try Richardson in this clash. The management has decided to rest Travis head, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa as they had participated in the recent World Cup. It will be interesting to see if they are brought back after this loss.
Australia Predicted Playing XI:
Matthew Short, Steven Smith, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (c & wk), Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Jason Behrendorff, Tanveer Sangha
PITCH AND WEATHER CONDITIONS
This is not a high scoring venue but we can expect a good wicket for batters. The ball comes nicely onto the bat which makes the wicket batters friendly. Spinners can have an edge on this field making Bishnoi the biggest bet here.
Two of the three matches T20Is played at the Greenfield have been won by the chasing team. With winter season & dew making an entry in the second half of the match, the team winning the toss should opt to bowl first.
Winning prediction
India will be delighted form the performance in the first T20I but the inconsistency in their bowling is a major issue for them. They would try to address the same in this match. Australia too have issues in their bowling attack & they would like to make changes to the lineup. Currently the winning momentum is with India & we back India to win this clash.
