IND A v PAK A: The ongoing ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023 is no less than a roller coaster for fans as the teams are producing spell-bounding performances to win the prestigious title. And in IND A vs PAK A clash of ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, the rising sensation Rajvardhan Hangargekar amused fans with his blistering five-fer. The youngster opened India A account by scalping the wicket of Saim Ayub in the fourth over.
He didn’t stop there as he picked the crucial wicket of Omair Yusuf to put Pakistan in a dire situation. After suffering an early setback, Qasim Akram provided some assistance to Pakistan by scoring crucial runs. But then Indian Captain, Yash Dhull brought Hangargekar back into the attack who then scalped the crucial wicket of Akram in the middle order.
Later the Indian pacer also scalped the wickets of Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Shahnawaz Dahani to complete his five-for. Hangrekar’s back-to-back wickets in the middle order helped India A to restrict Pakistan A to a meager 205 run total. Hangargekar got valuable support from Manav Suthar who displayed a brilliant performance with the ball. Suthar scalped three wickets conceding just 36 runs in ten overs. It was the duo’s performances that helped India A to restrict Pakistan to a chaseable total.
ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023: Sai Sudarshan’s Gleaming ton helped India to chase the Target
In reply, during the chase rising sensation of India A team, Sai Sudarshan gave India A a perfect start. He was going strength-to-strength & went on to register a ton in Colombo. Despite losing his opening partner Abhishek Sharma early in the chase, Sudarshan single-handedly kept amassing runs & managed to chase the total at the end of the day. Sudarshan got good support from the No 3 batter, Nikin Jose who get going with runs in the middle order. It took just 37 overs for India to chase the total & win the fixture by eight wickets.
India A ended the league stage at the top spot & qualified for the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup 2023. India A will next face Bangladesh A at R Premadasa in Colombo on July 21, and if they qualify for the finals, the team will then play the Finals on July 23. Looking at the kind of cricket India is playing they are favorites to win the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 Trophy.
