As India prepares to host the 16th ODI World Cup, teams have begun to arrive in the nation. The Indian Cricket Board and its devoted followers treat the visiting players with the utmost hospitality. The Pakistan cricket team, which is visiting India after a seven-year absence, has also been astounded and astonished by India’s hospitality.
Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan gave their first impressions of supporters as they travelled from the airport to the team hotel after arriving in India. Both expressed gratitude for their kindness and assistance. Notably, Pakistan had a protracted nine-hour layover in Dubai prior to travelling to India. They didn’t mind it, though, as the Indian authorities immediately fixed the visa problems.
On September 29, a practice match between the Babar Azam-led Men in Green and New Zealand will take place at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. On October 3, they will play Australia at the same location. Only two of the 18 players on the Pakistani team had prior experience competing in Indian circumstances, which is important to note. At the 2016 T20 World Cup, Agha Salman and all-arounder Mohammed Nawaz participated.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, spoke at a press conference in Lahore before leaving for India. Babar expressed his excitement as he talked about what he expected from the competition because it was his first time attending. He declared, “I am eager to perform in Ahmedabad since it will be crowded. I’ll do my very best to perform to the best of my ability. I am not concerned about my individual honours; I want to make sure that anything I do helps the team.”
It’s important to note that Pakistan will face the hosts India on October 14 after playing the first two games against qualifier teams in Hyderabad. They will meet at the Narendra Modi Arena in Ahmedabad, which is the biggest cricket arena in the world. In the ODI World Cup, Babar and company will try to beat India for the first time ever, while India will want to keep up its winning trend against its neighbours.
