It has been a long time since the MMA community has been waiting for Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC. The Irishman claimed that he will fight in December, but fans are not buying it anymore. Recently, British Youtuber KSI also cast his doubts on the former UFC champion’s claims.
KSI talked about McGregor’s mental state
Recently, in an interview with the Irish Sun, KSI called McGregor’s comeback talk a bluff and also questioned the Irishman’s mental state to fight again. KSI believes that “The Notorious” is focusing more on his off-cage antics than training. McGregor was supposed to headline UFC 303 along with Michael Chandler, but a last minute injury made him pull out of the bout.
KSI didn’t hold back when it came to giving his opinion on Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC. “The Nightmare” candidly spoke about McGregor’s chances of returning to the Octagon and said, “With McGregor, you don’t really know what to expect. He is a bit of a wild case. I don’t think he is in any state of mind to be fighting at all. I don’t think he is gonna be fighting anytime soon.” According to KSI, even if Conor starts calling out opponents, it is just a hoax.
Not only KSI, but Michael Chandler has also started doubting McGregor’s return. “Iron” was set to face the “Mystic Mac” at UFC 303 and has also expressed his disappointment. Chandler recently stated, “I think it’s time I finally admit the fight is off. He is still in stage 2 of the 7 of grief pertaining to his career being over.” This uncertainty over McGregor’s return has left both fighters and fans in the dark. With these opinions from both KSI and Chandler, it seems that McGregor’s return is more in question than ever.
Matt Brown expressed his thoughts on Chandler’s situation
Former UFC fighter Matt Brown also shared his thoughts on Michael Chandler’s situation during a recent episode of Fighter vs. The Writer podcast. According to Brown, Michael Chandler is making a mistake by waiting for the McGregor fight. Brown suggested that Chandler should focus on fighting other top UFC fighters while he is at his peak. “The Immortal” also stated that with his various business ventures, Chandler won’t suffer financially by not fighting.
