Nepal all-rounder, Dipendra Singh Airee has been roped in by Gulf Giants for the remainder of the International League T20, 2024. The tournament is currently underway and the Gulf Giants are sitting at third on the points table.
They have played 8 matches so far and have managed to accumulate four wins and, overall, eight points. The Giants have two matches left to be played and are currently playing their penultimate match against MI Emirates.
It is worth mentioning that the top four teams in the tournament will qualify for the playoffs and the Giants would be looking to earn wins in both their last two matches in the league stage.
Nepal all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee, meanwhile, is delighted to be roped in by the franchise. Here’s what he said about his new association:
“I’m honoured to be part of this team. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I’m eager to contribute to our success. I appreciate the franchise’s confidence in me and am ready to give my best on the field.” Airee told Cricnepal.com.
Dipendra Singh Airee first grabbed headlines after notching a half-century in just nine deliveries. He entered his name in the record books after playing a sensational knock against Mongolia in the Asian Games tournament.
With that, he also broke Yuvraj Singh’s knock of a fastest half-century in 12 deliveries. Dipendra Singh Airee has been a vital cog in Nepal’s team for quite a few years now. He played his first match for the country in 2018 in white-ball cricket.
