Milwaukee Bucks’ center Giannis Antetokounmpo had a memorable night on Wednesday in the game against the Indiana Pacers. In addition to leading the Bucks to a 140-126 victory, he also recorded a few milestones. “The Greek Freak” scored 64 points to lead his team to an impressive victory, breaking several records along the way. Let’s have a look at those records that Giannis broke in the showdown.
1. New Personal Best

Giannis’ performance on Wednesday night was his personal best. His previous career high of 55 came in the Bucks’ 123–113 win over the Washington Wizards on January 3 this year. The 29-year-old had an efficient shooting clip of 71.4% and 75% from the free-throw line in his 64 points against the Pacers.
2. Only player to have three 50 points game against the Pacers

With this firing performance against the Pacers, Giannis Antetokounmpo has solidified his status as the Indiana Pacers’ nightmare because it was his third 50-point game against them. No one in NBA history has impressed the Pacers with so many 60-point games. The two previous instances came on November 9, 2023, with 54 points and on February 15, 2022, with 50 points.
3. Most points in a game by a Bucks Player

With 64 points, the Nigerian-Greek has surpassed Michael Redd’s 17-year-old record for most points scored by a Bucks player in a single game. On November 11, 2006, Redd scored 57 points in a 113–111 loss to the Utah Jazz. Giannis’ record came with a win, making it more significant.
4. Most halves with 30+ points & 10+ rebounds

Antetokounmpo made his third career appearance with 30+ points and 10+ rebounds in a half-game. He finished ahead of Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, who marked his second game with a 30-10 halftime against the Pistons on Wednesday.
5. Moved up to the All-time scoring list

With his impressive 64-point performance, Giannis moved into 100th place on the NBA’s All-time scoring list with more than 17,000 career points, passing Bob Cousy. Next, he is set to surpass Grant Hill with 17,137 points.
