One of the most contentious incidents of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was the altercation between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir on the playing field. Following an IPL 2023 match, the Royal Challengers Bangalore player and the then-Lucknow Super Giants coach got into an argument, and both received significant penalties for their behavior. Even though things have now calmed down, some social media users have discovered a video in which Gambhir reacts angrily to “Kohli, Kohli” shouts. As spectators yelled at him, Gambhir could be seen in the footage making a furious gesture. The video went viral during the India vs. Nepal Asia Cup 2023 game, but we were unable to independently confirm its veracity. Watch Gautam Gambhir’s reaction to Virat Kohli chants goes viral.

Gautam Gambhir had denied the allegations and clarified the motivation for his conduct. In an interview with ANI, he said, “People post anything they want to post on social media. So what is displayed there has no basis in reality. The reality behind the popular video is that if you shout anti-Indian sentiments and bring up Kashmir, the individual in front of you would undoubtedly respond negatively and not smile before walking away. One or two Pakistanis were speaking about Kashmir and against India. I responded naturally, as a result. Nothing negative about my nation can be heard. So that was my response.”

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, previously chose to field against Nepal after winning the toss. Rohit stated, “We’ll start the bowling. No specific reason. In the last game, we were at bat. We are interested in what the bowlers can contribute. I’m not familiar with the weather. We only desire for the bowlers to have played in a game. Hardik and Ishan played excellent batting under pressure, as did the entire team. Ishan played along and had great maturity. Positive indicators for us. Another crucial game is coming up for us. Change one.
At the toss, Rohit stated, “Bumrah is not available; we have Shami in place for him.”
