Gautam Gambhir Drops India’s ‘World Cup Finals’ Comparison
Interesting responses were given by Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh to the topic, “What is the biggest threat to India in the T20 World Cup?”
“Under those circumstances, Afghanistan can be extremely deadly. England, according to Gautam Gambhir, plays T20 cricket the way it should be played, and Australia, because they have impact players,.
“I approach things from a different perspective. South Africa should win, in my opinion. They’ve never prevailed in a white-ball competition. Yuvraj Singh remarked, “The way I saw their progress in the 50-over World Cup and Pakistan, who are very dangerous,”
“Look, Pakistan has some of the worst fielding in all of international cricket. I witnessed it during the 50-over World Cup.” If they truly want to compete in the T20 format, they will have to physically pull up their socks,” Gautam Gambhir continued.
“The number of finals India has advanced to…In the past five or six years, I don’t think Pakistan has advanced to nearly as many finals as India has. And the trophy is just a single step away from you. I hope there may be one in the T20 World Cup.”

After hitting a century in Paarl, Gautam Gambhir is curious to know if Samson will stay in the Indian team.
Samson was left out of India’s selection for the 2023 Cricket World Cup despite having an average of above 50 in one-day internationals. It’s safe to say that Samson hasn’t been able to take advantage of the opportunities that have been presented to him because of his inconsistent tenure with the Indian team. However, Gambhir believes that things will improve moving forward.
“His brilliance is well known to all of us. Given the type of innings he has played in the IPL, not just us but everyone has spoken about it. But today, despite this setback, he has managed to launch his international career. Before this, he was only given occasional opportunities; occasionally, he would be excluded from a game. In a conversation with Star Sports, Gambhir stated, “But when you score a 100, you not only impress the selectors but even put pressure on them to pick you.”
