The highly anticipated clash between Boxing icon Mike Tyson and social media influencer Jake Paul is facing uncertainty due to Tyson’s recent health concerns. It is still unclear whether the bout will go on as planned. Mike suffered from nausea and dizziness during a recent flight due to an aggravated ulcer, forcing the originally scheduled July 20 bout at AT&T Stadium to be postponed. While potential reschedule dates in October and November are being considered, concerns about Tyson’s health are growing as he ages.
The future of the fight is uncertain
Other fighters on the undercard of the event are also expressing doubts about the event going ahead. However, Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix clarified that the fight is not completely off, but acknowledged growing doubts amongst those involved. He said, “It is certainly not out of the question. But again, there are people involved who are expressing doubts that this specific fight is going to move forward.”
The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson clash had a stacked undercard. That included Kate Taylor and Amanda Serrano, set for a rematch. Additionally, UFC star Darren Till was scheduled to make his debut against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. It is unclear if these bouts will be moved or rescheduled for another event if Tyson vs. Paul does not take place later this year.
Jake Paul expressed disappointment at the postponement
A few days ago, in a video reaction to the postponement of the bout, Jake Paul expressed his disappointment and concern for Mike’s well-being. The YouTube sensation stated how heartbroken and speechless he is, as everyone has been working so hard in the camp. He feels bad for everybody involved with the event and the whole undercard.

The Problem Child also said that he values Mike’s health first, loves him and respects the boxing legend a lot. Jake wants Mike to be healthy first and states that he is ready whenever the 57-year-old is ready to fight. “This is too big of an opportunity. I think this fight is going to change the world, said Paul. While the situation is still volatile, the future of this high-profile boxing match remains on hold as Tyson’s health remains the main concern.
