However, the segment between Cody Rhodes and The Rock made fans a little sad as it came with the revelation that “The Great One” will be leaving WWE for a while. It wasn’t a major surprise, as we all know that The Rock is a big Hollywood star and has many projects to work on. But the news was still upsetting for the fan, as his character “The Final Boss” has been a major highlight for the past month. “The People’s Champion did say that he would return but didn’t reveal exactly when. In this article, we will have a look at the ways he can return to WWE whenever he decides to make a comeback.
He can make a surprise appearance
The Rock is a major figure in both WWE and Hollywood, so whenever he returns, it will definitely be a surprise without beforehand announcements. When The Rock re-appears, at least his first appearance is always a surprise. Last year, when he returned to Smackdown and RAW in January, he did that without any warnings. The same applies to when he first confronted Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown. If the Hollywood star decides to return for another short stint with the company, he will definitely appear as a surprise.
Could be announced ahead of time
This time, when The Rock returned to WWE, he turned out to be a vile person who made Cody Rhodes bleed and even trash talked about his mother. He bullied and just showed his power all around. Despite these flaws, he got great hooting from the crowd a few times because of how popular he is. When he is announced for a show, people always buy tickets. So there is also a possibility that his return might be announced ahead of time. The company wants to sell as many tickets as they can, so announcing The Rock is returning to SmackDown vs. RAW will lead to more fans arriving. WWE always does what’s best for business.
Might return with a surprise attack on Cody
The last Monday night RAW began with the new undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes and Triple H praising him. That’s when The Rock made a surprise appearance and shocked the audience again. The two had an interesting confrontation. The Rock credited “The American Nightmare” for his win over Roman Reigns and borrowed the Undisputed Universal Championship. “The Brahma Bull” then said that he will be back after a hiatus and when he does, he will be after Cody Rhodes.
This hints that when The Rock decides to return, he might pull a surprise attack on Cody Rhodes. The Rock left him bloodied before the big event and pinned him at WrestleMania on Saturday. Both clashing in the future and having a feud definitely make a lot of sense and WWE fans want this storyline too.
He might return alongside The Bloodline
The Bloodline is one of the most dominant factions in WWE. The stable kicked off in 2020 with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Paul Heyman. Over time, it expanded by including Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn. Currently, the bloodline includes Reigns, Sikoa, Jimmy, Paul and The Rock. However, despite being dominant, Jimmy lost to Jey at WrestleMania and Roman lost his Universal Championship. The People’s Champion could return with the bloodline and this could mean either Reigns as the Leader or him being kicked out. If anybody other than Reigns can lead the stable, it is The Rock.
