Former Professional wrestler 2 Cold Scorpio who debuted in professional wrestling in 1985 and competed in nearly every promotion including WCW, ECW and WWE, is currently facing some serious charges after he was involved in a violent brawl that left the other person with multiple stab wounds.
Scorpio stabbed the victim several times
According to a report, 2 Cold Scorpio was arrested on June 15 at midnight following a brawl at a gas station where the former wrestling champion was working as a security guard. According to Scorpio, the man who is hospitalized lit a cigarette inside the gas station. Scorpio asked the man to put out the cigarette because of the risk of fire near the gas.
The former wrestler’s statement alleges that at his request to put out the cigarette, the smoker replied, “F##k you, the f##k you gonna do?”
The matter continued to deteriorate until the two came outside, where they grappled. The former wrestler claims that he eventually stabbed him in self-defense, admitting the fight continued after that and he stabbed the man a few more times. When the emergency services arrived, they found the man bleeding from his head, chest, stomach and legs. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and despite several injuries, he appears to be stable.
The victim is now stable
The victim is so stable that he has given his account of what happened. He claims that he did not intentionally go into the gas station with a lit cigarette, although he admits that the cigarette he had when he went in was not fully extinguished. He also claims that Scorpio was the one who escalated the situation and started the fight. Scorpio was later arrested and has been charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
Scorpio has already pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to make a second court appearance sometime next month. Since the person he stabbed didn’t have a knife or any other weapon with him, it is very much possible that his use of the knife in self-defense would stand.
