The entire community is in shock since the news came out that Nikki Bella’s husband, Artem Chingvintsev, has been arrested under domestic violence charges. Since the first news broke, several reports and details have surfaced about the case. According to reports, the former WWE Divas Champion’s husband has been arrested for domestic violence and was taken into custody in Napa Valley, California, on Thursday morning.
The victim is cooperating with investigators
Daily News reported that Artem was arrested on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. by Napa Valley County for violating Penal Code 273.5(a), which is the crime of causing physical injury to a spouse. Any physical injury inflicted by a person to their spouse that is visible on the body falls as a violation of California Penal Code 273.5(a), which is the crime. Nevertheless, the victim has asked to hide her identity for now. The report states that the victim is cooperating with the investigator and helping to move the case forward.
According to TMZ, “The alleged victim in the Artem Chigvintsev domestic violence case is cooperating with police, and we are told investigators are looking to see if there’s a history of domestic violence here.”
It’s worth noting that police arrested Artem after 40 minutes of investigation and cross-questioning under the charges, and an arrest can only be made under the penalty once injuries are visible. According to a recent update by The New York Post, Artem Chingvinstev was released at 2:18 PM PT, and his bail was set at $25,000.
Nikki and Artem have been together since 2019
Just a few days before the arrest, Nikki Bella and Artem celebrated their wedding anniversary on August 26, 2024. The couple first met on the show Dancing with the Stars in 2017. That time, Nikki was in a relationship with fellow WWE superstar John Cena. However, in 2018, Cena and Nikki split up and announced it on social media just a day before their wedding.
In 2019, Nikki announced her relationship with Artem and in 2020, the couple welcomed their first child and named him Matteo. Nikki and Artem had a fairytale wedding on August 26, 2022.

Before getting into a relationship with Artem Chigvintsev, Nikki Bella dated John Cena for almost eight years. Unfortunately, they separated in 2018. The reason behind their separation was disagreement over marriage and having children.
