Former UFC fighter Geane Herrera, who fought in the flyweight division, passed away on May 18. His sudden demise was caused by a tragic motorcycle accident that occurred late at night in Tampa, Florida, on the Gandy Bridge. It was reported by the Florida Highway Patrol that a 33-year-old man was traveling at a very high speed to Hillsborough County on the Gandy Bridge. The man was identified as Herrera, who collided into the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
During the initial impact, Geane was struck in a concrete barrier and collapsed back on the road, falling several feet before the motorcycle caught fire. However, the car driver, who was on the scene, was unharmed by the accident.
