Former Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batsman and Royal Challengers Bangalore player Parthiv Patel is currently in the news for trolling Glenn Maxwell, a World Cup winner, and calling him the most overrated player in IPL history.
It is not often seen that a professional player takes to social media from his original ID to troll another player, but Parthiv Patel crossed all limits and expressed his thoughts in front of society, listening to his conscience.
It is true that Glenn Maxwell is currently averaging just 6 and has scored only 40 runs so far in the IPL this season. He is not in good form and is struggling a bit, but he is the leading wicket-taker for RCB at number three this season, even though he missed three matches in between. And the second biggest thing is that who is Parthiv Patel to make fun of Glenn Maxwell?
You should be the last one to rate players Mr Parthiv Patel . Everyone has bad patch . Infact I have never seen you play with 120+ sr or play any impactful innings sit down bro

The sad thing is that he enjoyed trolling and then he was seen justifying it. And when the fans criticized him a lot, when he couldn’t win over the unfriends, he posted a photo of himself winning an IPL trophy in a Mumbai Indians jersey.
Yes, when Mumbai Indians won the IPL in 2017, Parthiv Patel was a part of the Mumbai Indians team, but he has also played for Bangalore.
glenn maxwell….HE IS THE MOST OVERRATED player in the history of ipl…#IPL2024 ….

Anyway, he seems to have forgotten that Glenn Maxwell is a very high-level player. If Glenn Maxwell, who won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015, Glenn Maxwell, who won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023, Glenn Maxwell, who won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021, is being mocked by Parthiv Patel, it is quite hilarious.
It is because where on one hand there are three World Cups, and on the other hand there is an IPL trophy. If Parthiv Patel thinks that an IPL trophy is bigger than a World Cup trophy, then that would be a pretty funny claim because Parthiv Patel never performed so well for the Indian team that he could be given a consistent chance.
For 3 seasons ( 2021-23) No one scored more runs than him and at a better SR batting in middle order. To go with that, he was MVP in 2014 and had a good 2017. That's 5 seasons out of 10. Expected better from a dugout expert and a scout

And now what he has done is to make fun of Glenn Maxwell, who is struggling with his form and has also said about mental illness. And it is clear that Maxwell didn’t want to play in the team, he is being pressured to play in the team.
This is clear and uncut, but that’s a different thing. Should a professional player go on social media and criticize another player like this?
Talking about cricket, Glenn Maxwell has played only 7 Test matches in his career and has scored a century in that too, on the Ranchi pitch in 2017. And looking at Parthiv Patel, he has played 25 Tests for India in his career and has never reached a century.
Yes….. Very Overrated Cricketer……

Let’s talk about ODI cricket now. Glenn Maxwell is the only batsman in ODI cricket to have scored a double century while chasing and his ODI strike rate is 126. He has played 138 matches and scored around 4000 runs.
And everyone knows what Maxwell can do when he is on his peak. On the other hand, Parthiv Patel has played 38 ODI matches in his career and has not even scored 800 runs. And his career ODI strike rate is just 74.
Now think about Parthiv Patel’s T20 cricket strike rate of 112, while Maxwell’s ODI career strike rate is 126. How did the thought of making fun of Maxwell even come into Parthiv Patel’s mind?
There is no comparison between the two players in T20. Where is a player with an average of 31 and a strike rate of 155 and where is a player with an average of 22 and a strike rate of 112?
But one thing has to be said for Parthiv Patel, he did a bad thing and he also defended it on social media.
