At Spurs, Paulinho showcased his midfield prowess, making 67 appearances and scoring ten goals over two seasons. His time in North London was a period of growth, although his true potential would be realized in subsequent chapters of his career.
In 2015, Paulinho made a high-profile switch to Guangzhou FC in China. His impact was immediate, and his impressive performances soon earned him a move to Barcelona in 2017.
The transfer, valued at £35 million, was a bold decision by the Blaugrana, and Paulinho didn’t disappoint. He played a crucial role in Barcelona’s double-winning season in 2018, securing both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Paulinho’s international career was equally distinguished. He earned 56 caps for Brazil, scoring 13 goals and contributing to the team’s success on the global stage. His ability to influence matches was evident during his tenure with the national team, including appearances in two World Cups.
