CM Punk gave spectacular entertainment to the WWE Universe at WWE Bash in Berlin and picked up his first win in WWE in ten years. The Second City Saint defeated his rival Drew McIntyre in a strap match by brutally dominating him. Punk thrashed “The Scottish Warrior” all around the ring. The Cookie Master delivered four GTS to McIntyre and he hit every corner of the squared circle with a bang. It was not only thrilling but also an emotional moment for Punk and his fans, as his win came after a decade in the Stamford-based promotion.
Punk’s fans applauded his victory
Fans have started reacting to CM Punk’s first win after his WWE return. The fans are calling it a tight slap to haters who have been putting Punk down since his WWE return. A user wrote, “People said he is washed, he can’t compete on the save level as he used to, he is fragile, but he proved all his haters wrong. Another one wrote, “This match is a slap in the face to all the haters who said Punk is finished.” A third one said, “They said he’s finished. He proved all the haters wrong! Best in the world.”
Fans were also amazed at how the entire match went, as the Chicago native did not spare Drew McIntyre in any way. For WWE fans, this match was a total cinematic piece with some amazing psychological warfare between Punk and Drew. CM Punk not only won the match but also finally took away his bracelet, which had the names of his wife, AJ Lee, and Dog written on it.
The Scottish warrior had taken that bracelet away from Punk a few months ago when he attacked him on an episode of SmackDown. Before pressing the fourth button on the turnbuckle and securing the win, Punk took out the bracelet and showed it to the fans.
The two will potentially have another clash
However, there is still a question that remains to be answered: “Is this the end of the storyline between Punk and McIntyre? The two have faced each other in two PPVs and it seems that McIntyre will push for another match with Punk at Bad Blood on October 5. This will also be the final clash between these two, after which CM Punk can turn his attention to Seth Rollins, with whom he has a lot of things to settle. Now fans are just excited for the next episode of Monday Night Raw and McIntyre’s reaction to his humiliating defeat at the Bash in Berlin.
