The rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is becoming more interesting every week. The two finally got to face each other at SummerSlam, but because the match ended in an unfair way as Seth Rollins was the match referee and because of his old grudge with him, he ended up teaming with The Scottish Warrior to defeat the Chicago native. This week on Raw, CM Punk again appeared and attacked McIntyre. As Drew strolled around the ring while eyeing Gunther and Randy Orton, Punk came from behind and took over the segment.
Punk showed no mercy hitting McIntyre with the belt
Punk appeared full of energy, giving the beating to his rival. However, the moment McIntyre took control, he took off his belt and attempted to slam Punk. But the move turned out to be wrong for him because it gave the Second City Saint time to recover and take control again. Scott tried to hit Punk with the belt but failed and the “Cookie Master” snatched the belt and started attacking him.
Once CM Punk had the belt, he continuously unleashed it on McIntrye and gave him no time to recover. It was worse for the Scottish Warrior because he didn’t have a shirt on for a little protection. The brutal belt shots on the bare skin that he got inside the ring, moving outside, didn’t stop until McIntyre managed to escape through the barricade.
McIntyre shared the picture of the aftermath
Drew McIntyre is not always seen running away from a fight, but the photo he shared post Raw shows why he needed to escape as quickly as possible. The picture shows that CM Punk went for those belt shots fully. The red bloody marks can be seen on The Scottish Warrior’s back, some of which looked very close to breaking the skin. McIntyre was definitely in a lot of pain while taking those ruthless shots. One of the highlights of the picture is that McIntyre is still wearing Punk’s bracelet that cost the Second City Saint his match at SummerSlam. It is yet to be revealed when Punk and McIntyre will face each other again and what will be the stipulation of their match, but the recent segment shows the two might fight in Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood.
