WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has become more straightforward and unrepentant in the last few weeks. Ever since he lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Damian Priest because of CM Punk, The Scottish Warrior’s rage has reached a higher level. He doesn’t hesitate to mock WWE legends or use the harshest language against his opponents. This time he has gone a step further, making a savage statement about former WWE Champion Sheamus.
McIntyre thinks Sheamus is too old
Recently, Drew McIntyre was answering questions on Reddit MMA while promoting his upcoming film The Killer’s Game, where he has a key role against Batista. During the session, one fan asked The Scottish Warrior that if he had to do an evolution, which wrestlers would he choose, including two young rising talents and a WWE veteran? To this, McIntyre named Bron Breakker and Oba Femi and said that he would want to mentor them. For the mentor role, he chose Sheamus while making a claim that the WWE veteran has grown old.
“Good question, Oba Femi and Bron Breakker, these two guys are studs, and I see big futures for them. If given the opportunity, I would love to mentor them. Sheamus can do the Ric Flair role as he is too old,” said Drew. While his preference for younger talent is justified, McIntyre may be wrong when talking about Sheamus, as he is 46 years old and is on par with superstars like Randy Orton and CM Punk.
McIntyre has provoked a new rivalry
“The Celtic Warrior” has performed brilliantly since returning from a serious neck injury. Even though Sheamus gained some weight, he still quickly managed to lose some weight and get back in shape. The Irish wrestler still has many years ahead of him as a WWE superstar and Drew has probably sparked an upcoming rivalry with him. Currently, “The Scottish Psychopath” is embroiled in a big feud with CM Punk, which is likely to end at Bad Blood when the two clash for the third and final time.
